A: The appearance of hollow microspheres is off-white or gray, and it is a loose powder material with good fluidity. Its particles are spherical, the surface is smooth, the particle size is uniform, and it has high compressive strength and low thermal conductivity, so it has excellent thermal insulation performance. Due to these excellent properties, hollow microspheres have been widely used in numerous fields.
In contrast, the color of fly ash varies widely, ranging from milky white to silver gray and even gray-black. Its particles are irregular in shape and relatively dense, resulting in high thermal conductivity, so the thermal insulation effect is not as good as that of hollow microspheres. It is often used as a filler for concrete.
