Product Description

Screw thread adhesive, also known as anaerobic adhesive or mechanical adhesive. It does not solidify when in contact with oxygen or air, and once isolated from air, it quickly polymerizes into a cross-linked solid polymer.
The composition of thread adhesive is relatively complex, mainly composed of unsaturated monomers, as well as aromatic amines, phenols, aromatic hydrazine, peroxides, etc. The formula of thread adhesive is constantly evolving, and thread fastening adhesive is a commonly used non removable anti loosening measure in engineering.

Usage process

Thread locker operation steps 
Clean the threads: Use a clean dust-free cloth or brush to remove the dust and oil on the threads to ensure that the surface is clean and dry, so as not to affect the adhesion of the glue. 
Opening preparation: Use a sharp blade to cut a small inclined cut in the thread sealant mouth (it should not be too large to avoid excessive glue overflow). 
Apply glue evenly: Slowly rotate the screw, and lightly press the glue bottle at the same time, so that the thread glue evenly covers the threaded part (pay attention to controlling the dosage to avoid waste or dripping). 
Assembly and fastening: screw the nut immediately, rotate it several times to make the glue distribute more evenly, and then let it stand until it is completely cured (refer to the glue instructions for curing time). 

Hint: 
Choose the appropriate threadlocker according to the working conditions (such as low-strength detachable type or high-strength permanent type). 
Avoid glue from contacting skin or eyes during the operation. If you accidentally touch it, rinse it with clean water in time.

Q:How to remove and disassemble anaerobic thread adhesive?

A:Liquid anaerobic adhesive can be removed with a chemical solvent; Medium and low strength models can be disassembled using tools such as wrenches;
If the high-strength model cannot be disassembled with tools such as a wrench, it needs to be heated by a hot air gun or a flamethrower to over 230 degrees Celsius while disassembling. The remaining colloid can be burned or removed with a steel wire brush.

Q: Why does anaerobic thread adhesive take a long curing time?
A: The solidification of anaerobic adhesive is influenced by metal materials, temperature, and oxygen-deficient conditions. Generally, at room temperature, the adhesive is initially solidified for 30 minutes (usually not easily twisted by hand) after oxygen deficiency in the thread gap of active metals (copper, iron, steel, etc.), and fully solidified after about 6 hours. It is recommended to put it into use after 24 hours, and the time is extended for inert metals or in winter.

Q: How long is the shelf life of anaerobic thread adhesive after opening the cover?
A : Anaerobic adhesive only solidifies under anaerobic conditions, and the adhesive does not solidify after opening the lid.
